Coliemore Harbour, Dalkey, Dublin, Ireland. Sunday 6th July 2014, 5.17am.... Click!
If only it was as easy as that!
Getting up at 3.30am, loading the equipment into the car, getting to the location, setting up and taking the photo is just a small part of the job. On Saturday I went scouting for a location to shoot the next morning. Coliemore Harbour was suggested by a friend of mine. It's one of his favourite places on the Dublin coastline. I checked the compass bearing to make sure I would be able to have a good composition facing due east. Then make sure all the equipment I would need is ready, all batteries charged, memory cards empty, etc. After the photo was taken then comes the editing and cleaning up to produce the final image.
On this particular shoot I attempted to produce a little video blog of my experience. So I also had to edit all the video footage.
Here's the little video about the sunrise shoot I did on Sunday 6th July 2014..
And here's the final image.
